ASTM A240 301LN (UNS S30153) is a nitrogen‑alloyed, high‑strength austenitic stainless steel grade under ASTM standards. With 16–18% chromium, 6–8% nickel, and added nitrogen, it provides higher yield strength, improved work‑hardening capability, and enhanced weld stability compared with standard 301.
301LN develops significantly higher strength during cold working while maintaining good ductility, making it suitable for high‑strength sheet components, transportation structures, architectural elements, and elastic parts.
