1Cr12 Stainless Steel Composition & Martensitic Strength Properties

1Cr12 is a martensitic stainless steel specified in GB/T 4237 and GB/T 4238. Containing approximately 11.5–13% chromium, it offers good heat‑treating capability and a balanced combination of corrosion resistance and mechanical strength.

After quenching and tempering, the grade achieves enhanced strength and wear resistance while maintaining moderate corrosion resistance. It is commonly used in turbine blades, valve components, pump shafts, fasteners, and structural mechanical parts.

1Cr12 is available as plates, bars, forgings, and tubes. It is widely used in power generation equipment, machinery manufacturing, petrochemical installations, and wear‑resistant industrial applications.
