00Cr17Ni14Mo2 Stainless Steel Composition & Low‑Carbon Corrosion Resistance

00Cr17Ni14Mo2 is a low‑carbon molybdenum‑alloyed austenitic stainless steel specified in GB/T 4237 and GB/T 4238, equivalent to the widely used 316L grade. With approximately 16–18% chromium, 12–15% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum, it offers excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion while minimizing sensitization after welding.

The grade performs reliably in seawater, salt‑spray, chemical processing, and food‑grade environments. Its excellent weldability and formability make it suitable for pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, pharmaceutical equipment, and hygienic piping systems.

00Cr17Ni14Mo2 is available as sheets, coils, tubes, bars, and plates for marine engineering, chemical processing, and high‑purity applications.
