1Cr17 Stainless Steel Composition & Ferritic Corrosion‑Resistant Properties

1Cr17 is a ferritic stainless steel specified in GB/T 4237 and GB/T 4238, comparable to the international 430 family. Containing approximately 16–18% chromium and no nickel, it offers good atmospheric corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, and cost efficiency.

The grade provides good surface finish, formability, and polishability, making it suitable for kitchen equipment, appliance panels, architectural decoration, automotive trim, and light mechanical structures. It also features better thermal conductivity than austenitic grades and exhibits magnetic properties.

1Cr17 is supplied as sheets, coils, strips, and bars. It is widely used in household appliances, decorative applications, and general industrial manufacturing.
