0Cr25Ni20 Stainless Steel: GB-Standard High-Heat Performer

0Cr25Ni20 is a Chinese national standard (GB/T 4237) austenitic stainless steel, named for its nominal composition: 25% chromium, 20% nickel, and low carbon (≤0.08%). This grade is functionally equivalent to 310S and SUS 310S but is engineered to meet China’s industrial specifications, with a focus on cost-effectiveness without compromising performance.

Its most notable characteristic is its exceptional thermal stability. It resists oxidation at temperatures up to 1,200°C (2,192°F) and maintains tensile strength even when subjected to prolonged exposure to high heat, making it a staple in energy and heavy industries. The low carbon content prevents intergranular corrosion after welding, enhancing its durability in fabricated structures.

0Cr25Ni20’s primary role is to bridge high-temperature resilience and corrosion resistance in domestic applications. Its advantages include adaptability to local manufacturing processes, such as seamless pipe production and sheet forming, and compatibility with Chinese industrial standards, simplifying procurement and certification for domestic projects.

Common applications include boiler tubes in power plants, furnace liners in metallurgy, and chemical reactors handling high-temperature acids. It is also widely used in waste incineration plants and thermal power equipment, where its ability to withstand both heat and corrosive byproducts ensures long-term reliability. For Chinese industries, 0Cr25Ni20 offers a trusted, locally certified alternative to international grades.
