1.4571 Stainless Steel Composition & High-Temperature Stability

1.4571 (X6CrNiMoTi17-12-2) is a titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel grade specified under EN 10028-7 and EN 10088-2, equivalent to 316Ti. Its composition includes 16.5–18.5% chromium, 10.5–13.5% nickel, 2–2.5% molybdenum, and titanium added in proportion to carbon content to prevent carbide precipitation during welding or high-temperature service.
Compared with 316/316L, 1.4571 offers superior structural stability at elevated temperatures and can operate continuously around 600°C without sensitization. This makes it suitable for heat exchangers, exhaust systems, boiler components, and high-temperature pressure equipment. It maintains good weldability and does not require post-weld heat treatment.
1.4571 is supplied as sheets, plates, tubes, bars, and strips. It is widely used in chemical plants, pharmaceutical systems, architectural components, marine engineering, and heat-resistant structures. As a titanium-stabilized version of the 316 family, it provides reliable performance in high-temperature and welded applications.
