JIS G4304 / G4312 SUS 316Ti Stainless Steel Composition & Titanium‑Stabilized Austenitic Properties
SUS 316Ti is a titanium‑stabilized, molybdenum‑alloyed austenitic stainless steel defined in JIS G4304 / G4312. Based on the **SUS 316** composition, titanium is added (Ti ≥ 5×C%) to prevent carbide precipitation during welding and elevated‑temperature service, improving intergranular corrosion resistance. Typical composition includes 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum.
316Ti offers reliable performance around 600°C, making it suitable for heat exchangers, exhaust systems, boiler components, furnace structures, and high‑temperature pressure equipment. Compared with standard 316, 316Ti provides better microstructural stability and lower sensitization risk in high‑temperature and welded applications.
SUS 316Ti is available as sheets, plates, tubes, bars, and strips. It is widely used in petrochemical plants, thermal‑processing equipment, chemical reactors, and high‑temperature fluid systems where both corrosion resistance and heat resistance are required.
