316L stainless steel strip belongs to molybdenum-bearing austenitic family of stainless steel. 316L austenitic stainless steel strips possess higher creep, stress-to-rupture and tensile strength at elevated temperature environment.
ASTM 316L Stainless Steel Strip Finishes:
2B Finish—Smooth finish produced by cold rolling, annealing and descaling. The cold rolling is accomplished with polished rolls giving it a brighter finish than 2D.
2D Finish —Dull finish produced by cold rolling, annealing and descaling. Used for deep drawn parts and those parts that need to retain lubricants in the forming process.
BA Finish— Bright annealed cold rolled and bright annealed.
